Olympic Weight Lifting

CrossFit HardCore (HQ) is home to our very own Weightlifting Club, HardCore Barbell. The club is lead by Head Coach, Jackson Reyes.

If you don’t already know, Weightlifting is a sport in which the Olympic Lifts (aka the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk) are tested in competition to see who can lift the most weight in their respective body weight category. There are 10 men’s and 10 women’s weight classes in the sport of Weightlifting. The winner of each weight category is determined by the athlete who totals the highest based on there cumulative results in the snatch and the clean and jerk as 2 separate lifts.

Here at HardCore Barbell we work with athletes of all abilities and ages. Whether your goals are just to get better at the Olympic lifts for CrossFit or you want to compete in the sport of Weightlifting, we have everything you need to meet your goals.

Although we are a relatively new Weightlifting Team in the last year we have had several athletes qualify for National Level Weightlifting competitions. Even though we are a newer club we hope to develop several more athletes to qualify and compete at the National level over the next few years.

Our philosophy here at HardCore Barbell is quite simple. Learn how to perform the Olympic lifts correctly then get as strong as humanly possible.

At HardCore Barbell we have 2 options for those interested in working on their Olympic lifting.

Option 1: Participate in regularly scheduled “Weightlifting” class Tuesday and Thursday evening @6:30pm.  And we also have classes @7:30pm on Monday and Thursday at our CrossFit HardCore East location.
