Rachel “P-Nut” Batista
I live and breathe Crossfit… and as a Crossfit trainer, I am committed to helping my clients excel and become unquestionably fit – with their own unique path in becoming capable of handling whatever life throws them. After two children, I was overweight and very unhappy. So I started training for a fitness competition. Through Hardcore Fitness and the guidance & motivation of Adriana, and using competing as my goal, I lost over 100lbs. I won 1st place in 2 out 3 fitness competitions and qualified for the NPC National Fitness Competition. I became strong and learned respect for the weight-loss process. During my journey I found my real passion; motivating and teaching others to save their own life, the same way I was taught how to do it for myself.

Omar “Bionic” Torres
Omar “Bionic” Torres, was born and raised in Puerto Rico, moved to the United States at the age of 8. Always liked sports and competitive events whether it was playing a game or challenging friends. It always became a battle to find out who was best or who did better. Throughout his life he played many different sports such as baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball (beach & court), tennis, biking, running, weight lifting, name it he probably did it at one point, but never stuck to one. He was always challenging himself to something new. As he got older he began to think deep into fitness and weightlifting. Joined many gyms and tried many ways to stay fit by competing in events such as The Firefighter Challenge, playing Adult Softball, biking in Relay Half Triathlons, and Adventure Races. When he found CrossFit in July of 2007 he was introduced to the biggest challenge in his life. He realized how unfit he was even after doing all these events. And since he loves a good challenge he decided to take-on the CrossFit program religiously to where he competed in the 2008 CrossFit Games after only a year of applying CrossFit to his training. Omar has a huge passion for CrossFit, takes it very seriously (maybe a little too serious sometimes) and highly enjoys passing his knowledge to his clients at CrossFit Hardcore. “There is not a better feeling to watch a client after listening to your instructions, accomplish a goal that they never in their entire lifetime thought they could do on their own. It’s freaking AWESOME and it’s what drives me to keep coaching.”

“How I Met CrossFit”
Some day in 2008 a friend of mine “Joker” told me that his friend “KGB” knows of a great place to get a superb yet nasty workout. The location was properly named Crossfit Hardcore. So we arrive to this box and upon entering I am introduced to a lady that goes by the title Queen and a slightly large human named Heinz. Queen is then so kind to introduce me to moving heavy weight over long distances in a short amount of time. Although being warned to pace myself by lovely Queen, about 8 minutes later of moving way to fast turned in to laying down with my feet up. Once I started to feel better, I decided Crossfit was to become a part of my life style. Later that year a coach I became and get nothing but joy from seeing the same look on all our members faces that I had on mine that glorious day. The biggest reward in my Crossfit world is the individual success of each our clients/members/family/friends daily do to our guidance. Thank you Lance(Heinz) and Adriana(Queen of pain).
